Come work up an appetite and take a break from obsessing over the BCS calculations by pondering your fate in the Dirt Derby! Results from last week are posted with a few corrections to the B race – be sure to check the results and get us any corrections within TEN MINUTES of the finish.

It is looking like conditions will be perfect for the Dirt Derby this week. With the road season pretty much over and a big mountain bike race coming up, we are expecting big turn out.

Starting this week, there will be free HEED sports drink on tap, courtesy of our good friends at Hammer Nutrition.  Use the extra juice to power your way through a second race: the Oakley Velodrome races are a blast. This week the heats will be as follows:

 Match Sprints – Heat 1

A Point-a-lap

B Unknown Distance

Sprint Finals

A&B combined Madison

Also, don’t forget that the Dirt Derby goes on a grand scale in a little more than 2 weeks, with the launch of the Lonestar Cyclocross Series at the Second Annual Pflugerville Grand Prix. Mountain bikers can rejoice as well, as the following week at the TMBRA Power Pedal race, we’ll be hosting AggieCross and the first Texas Short Track race.  Registration is now open at BikeReg.com.
