Hey racers, in anticipation of the 50 degree rain at race time in the forecast for tomorrow (10/31) we’re going ahead and cancelling.
Don’t worry about missing out on racing though, we’re tacking on another rain out date and will get our full 8 week season. Dirt Derby will pick back up on Tuesday Nov 7th and race every Tuesday until the season finale on Tuesday November 28th.
Hey Derby people, we’re calling today’s (10/3) race off due to the rain expected later in the afternoon. We’re still planning on getting in the full seven reaming weeks of racing, so don’t start slacking off on your training just yet. See you next week!
Hey Dirt Derby fam, In anticipation on this afternoon’s rain we are calling today’s race off. We’ll be back again next week on the 3rd to pick up where we left off. Season finale is also pushed back a week, so we still have seven races left to go.
Hey Everybody. All the weather people seem quite convinced it’ll be storming during race time, so Dirt Derby is cancelled for tonight (11/22/16).
We’ll still give it one more shot and schedule the season finale for next week, 11/29/16. Finale will still be ladies nights, so all ladies race for free.
Also, don’t forget about our end of the year party at Austin Tri Cyclist on Tuesday, December 6th. We’ll be hanging out with some snacks and good drinks as well as handing out the series awards for the open race.
Hey Folks. The track has received quite a bit of rain thanks to the recent storms, so this weeks race (9/27/16) has been postponed until November 15, 2016. enjoy your week off and we’ll see you back at the track on October 4th.
I think mother nature was jealous of ladies night and decided to rain on our parade this week. Unfortunately, the Dirt Derby is cancelled for tonight. Don’t worry, we will be back next week.
Schedule update: We will now be running into December to make up for lost days!
So far, so good. There has been less than a half inch of rain, and the sun is coming out. So pack up your stuff and get on out there, because its your last chance to hit the Derby until autumn
Okay kids, 36 degrees may not be too cold to race, but its definitely too cold to put on a race. We’re pulling the plug on racing tonight, which means the remaining THREE RACES (Dec 23, Dec 30, and Jan 6) mean that much more! Have some cocoa, get on the trainer, and look forward to it being 70 out on Thursday.
Its 10:30 AM and the weather is looking hit-or-miss. So far there has been NO rain at the airport, which is only about 2 miles from the track, and looking at the radar it seems like the storm bands have passed. So at this point WE ARE RACING. However, we’ll check back in at about 3PM for an update, and then Diesel Dom will inspect the track at 4:45 for the final word.
Oh, and here is a little something one of the C.A.B.A.L. indoctrinates stumbled across:
It looks like a little precipitation on Monday night might make for some super-fast, dust-free racing this week. In case its a lot of rain, check this site and your email Tuesday afternoon before you head out – no news is good news, otherwise we’ll post if its a wash-out.
Don’t forget that LCS#2: Aggie Cross and the first Texas Short Track races will be at Lake Bryan on Saturday as part of the PowerPedal weekend. Online registration – with a $5 discount – is open until Wednesday at 7PM at BikeReg.com
