We are still racing tonight

So far, so good. There has been less than a half inch of rain, and the sun is coming out. So pack up your stuff and get on out there, because its your last chance to hit the Derby until autumn

Ice Pellets, Seriously?

Okay kids, 36 degrees may not be too cold to race, but its definitely too cold to put on a race. We’re pulling the plug on racing tonight, which means the remaining THREE RACES (Dec 23, Dec 30, and Jan 6) mean that much more!  Have some cocoa, get on the trainer, and look forward to it being 70 out on Thursday.

Veteran’s Day Dirt Derby: cautiously optimistic

Its 10:30 AM and the weather is looking hit-or-miss.  So far there has been NO rain at the airport, which is only about 2 miles from the track, and looking at the radar it seems like the storm bands have passed. So at this point WE ARE RACING.  However, we’ll check back in at about 3PM for an update, and then Diesel Dom will inspect the track at 4:45 for the final word.

Oh, and here is a little something one of the C.A.B.A.L. indoctrinates stumbled across:

A little rain might be nice

It looks like a little precipitation on Monday night might make for some super-fast, dust-free racing this week. In case its a lot of rain, check this site and your email Tuesday afternoon before you head out – no news is good news, otherwise we’ll post if its a wash-out.

Don’t forget that LCS#2: Aggie Cross and the first Texas Short Track races will be at Lake Bryan on Saturday as part of the PowerPedal weekend. Online registration – with a $5 discount – is open until Wednesday at 7PM at BikeReg.com

The weather in Del Valle is different.

Just in case we get rain tomorrow downtown or wherever your office is does not mean that conditions at the Dirt Derby are less than perfect. I’ll be riding to the track at 3:30 and starting at 4:30 will be available for last minute updates by phone 512-350-6314. If its bad, we’ll email everyone and post up by 5.

See you out there
