That time of the year already. Come on out and join us Tuesday, November 25 for the season finale of the 2014 Dirt Derby. The night will kick off with the kid’s race at 6:15, continue on with the beginner and intermediate races, and wrap up with the Austin Tri Cyclist Open Race.
Since you’re already on the website check out the Sponsors tab to see the dedicated shops and businesses that make the Dirt Derby possible. All of them will be happy to help out with your holiday gift needs and get you ready for riding in the winter weather. Be sure to mention you are a friend of the Dirt Derby to get that extra special touch.
The end of October means that it is time for a Halloween party! We’ll be celebrating with costumes, decorated bikes, racing, and of course, playing in the dirt. See you at the track!
We are happy to have the rain, but sad to have it at the track. Unfortunately, the Dirt Derby is cancelled for this weeks race on October 14. We will be back next week, so don’t be too sad.
Two weeks down and many more to go. Let’s celebrate the end of September with Ladies Night! All ladies race for free as well as any guys who dress and race in ladies clothes (dresses are usually most popular). What’s CX without a few dudes in dresses? Check out our Facebook/Twitter for the most up to date info. See you next week!
Less than two weeks till the first race! We are happy to welcome back returning race sponsors, The Peddler Bike Shop and Austin Tri Cyclist, for another great year. If your bike needs a little TLC or you need some new gear go visit them and talk Derby.
We also have season passes available! One pass and you can race multiple races each night all for one low price. Follow the link below or visit our registration page now.
Its never too early to start thinking about the next Dirt Derby. While we’re getting some sweet sponsors lined up you can sit back and dream of the excellent times to be had. We will be kicking of the season on September 16 and running till around Thanksgiving. This year will mark our 10th year straight and we plan to make it the best yet. We’ll be dropping more news as the day gets closer.
Thanks to all who came out last night! We had a good turn out and the track was in perfect shape. We’d like to make a shout out to all our great sponsors who helped make this season possible; The Peddler Bike Shop, Austin Tri Cyclist, and all the others who can be found on our Sponsors tab. It was awesome to see a noticeable difference in our regular riders from the beginner up through the open folks as the season went on. It was also fun to see the people who usually smoke the open race getting smoked by pro MTB racer Payson McElveen of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory/DEVO Sweet Elite. Results from last night are up and overalls will be finalized in the next few days. Keep on riding and we’ll see you soon!
