Hello again Derby fam, more sad news. Too much rain and not enough sun means Dirt Derby is cancelled for tomorrow, 10/23.
On the bright side, next week (10/30) is the Halloween party! Wear your costume and prepare to have some fun. Of course, there will be candy and hand ups as far as the eye can see! #handupsarenotacrime
Mother nature made her point and Dirt Derby is cancelled for Tuesday, Oct 9th. We’ll pick back up next week on the 16th right where we left off. To make up for the rainout, we’ll tack on another race at the end of the series on Nov 27th.
Enjoy the rest week and we’ll see you next Tuesday!
One week down, seven more to go! The course last night was in great shape. Thanks to all who came out to join in the fun. Results are up on the results tab for your viewing pleasure.
Big thanks to our race sponsors Tom Mahnke Realty & Austin Tri Cyclist. Tom is our go to for anything real estate and ATC is your one stop shop for all things bike (Plus running and swimming if you like to dabble in other sports).
Season passes are on sale now for $80! Same deal as last year. Season pass is valid for all beginner, intermediate, and open races. You can do multiple races per night, so plenty of opportunity to open up the legs and feel the burn. Link to purchase your 2018 Dirt Derby season pass is here:
It’s under 100 degrees, so that can only mean one thing.. Dirt Derby season is just around the corner!
We’ll be starting back up on October 2 following the usual schedule. The plan is to run for 8 weeks with two rain out dates if need be. All you need on race day is some cash and a helmet (and a bike) and you’re ready to race Dirt Derby. No license required. All the nitty gritty details are on the other pages, so please explore the site. If you have any question just shoot us an email or reach out on Facebook (you’ll receive the fastest response on FB).
Hey Everyone, we made it to the season finale! The final Hell-X race for the 2018 season will be Tuesday, July 3rd. Same schedule as usual with awards immediately following the A race. See you there!

Hey Racers, in anticipation of tomorrow’s rain we’re officially cancelling Hell-X for Tuesday, June 19th. We’ll be having a makeup race on July 3rd so we still hit our full four nights of racing. Enjoy the week off and we’ll see you next week!
The first two weeks of Hell X racing have come and gone, but we’ve still got two more to go! Great turn out, lots of fun, and plenty of high temps and dust. Results from the first two races are up as well over on the Results page. See you next race!
PS For the most up to date action check us out on facebook (This is our first stop for race updates and track info in the event of bad weather)
We’re officially ONE week out. If you haven’t started training, better late than never! Here’s the schedule:
6:00 Texas Cyclocross Project Kids Race
6:30 B “Long” Race ~40mins
7:20 A “Longer” Race ~1hr or until dark
All bikes are welcome and race together, but we recommend a CX or MTB bike.
$15 for the first race or $20 for both A & B. As with all our events, 18U are free. If you plan on making all the races check out the season pass in our previous post.
Try to make it 20-30 mins before start time so you have time to register. Make sure you have a helmet. Drink plenty of water (starting the day before). We keep it as low key as possible, so just be ready for some friendly and fun Texas summer racing!
